Are US Prisons Becoming Terrorist Recruitment Centers?

4 arrested in alleged NYC synagogue bomb plot - CNN.com.

With the arrest of four suspects in NY that were allegedly planing a bombing of a synagogue and the downing US military aircraft with a surface to air missile we find out that of the four, three are US born Muslims who converted to Islam in prison. The Nation Of Islam has actively been recruiting in prison for many years greatly increasing the Muslim population in prison.
Are these newly converted Muslims ripe for the picking by radical Islam to use as soldiers in its war against the US and western culture?
This may or may not be a tactic by radical Muslims but I think it is worth looking into before we have thousands of potential terrorists inside our borders that are eager to strike back at the system that incarcerated them. Thanks to the diligence of the FBI they were able to stop this plot but I cant help but wonder if more of this is going on.
I may be totally off base here but if I were looking to strike at the United States an attack from within would be the course I would take and what better tool to use than a group of believers that is already angry and antisocial. With the US Muslim prison population numbering in the thousands I do not think that it would be that difficult to find recruits in the terrorist war against the US.

Sex Offenders Don’t Like Their Living Conditions.

Seal of Miami-Dade County, Florida

Miami sex offenders form outcast colony - UPI.com.

My first question is why are they on the street to begin with and not in jail where they belong?
Osvaldo Castillo, 29, who was convicted of molesting a 6-year-old boy, told the Herald. “It’s not fun at all. We are living like animals and trying to make the best of it.”
Maybe because you are an animal!! At 29 he is out on the street after a crime like this and that tells me one thing he didn’t do enough time. For molesting a 6 yo, I don’t think life would be enough time. It seems to me that in the following article the media wants us to feel sorry for these people , sorry I cant.

MIAMI, May 3 (UPI) — A growing colony of sex offenders says members are being forced to live as outcasts under a Miami causeway because of strict sexual predator laws.

In 2006, there were seven convicted rapists and child molesters who had registered with Miami-Dade County officials as living in tents and shacks under the Julia Tuttle Causeway connecting Miami Beach and the mainland. Now there are 65 men and one woman among the colony, The Miami Herald reported Sunday.

They say they’re forced to live there because of a county ordinance prohibiting sex offenders from living within 2,500 feet of where children congregate — leaving nowhere in the county to live except the airport, the Everglades or under the causeway, the newspaper said.

“People call this place a camp, like it’s pretty and fun,” Osvaldo Castillo, 29, who was convicted of molesting a 6-year-old boy, told the Herald. “It’s not fun at all. We are living like animals and trying to make the best of it.”

“Now, we gotta be our own city,” added Juan Carlos Martin, convicted of exposing himself to a 15-year-old girl. “Every attempt we’ve made to fight this has failed, so we have to make this work.”

They are not being forced to do anything they have a choice and prefer that they chose to shoot themselves in the head and make the world a better place. I’m sorry if this sounds harsh but I have no time for anyone that would molest a child and if it were my
6 yo son he would have more to worry about than where he was living. Someone please explain to me how this guy even deserves to live.

Sheriff: Law protects SUV owner who shot, killed woman - Just As It Should!!

Sheriff: Law protects SUV owner who shot, killed woman - CNN.com.

This is a win for those of us who believe in the right to protect oneself. On occasion the criminals lose and the
intended victim wins. Tony Curtis Phillips and his girlfriend Nikki McCormick made a choice to break into
a barn and steal an SUV from owner Ladon “Jamie” Jones and thanks to Florida’s no-retreat law for Nikki it
was a fatal mistake.

According to the affidavit, Jones heard his Toyota Land Cruiser, parked in the barn at his orange grove, start up before daylight Tuesday. Jones told police he grabbed his gun, a 9mm that he keeps with him while working at the grove. He said he could see two people in the SUV as it backed out of the barn, according to the affidavit. He said he saw the passenger’s arm reach outside the vehicle, and believed that person might be holding a gun.

The Land Cruiser stopped directly in front of him, Jones said in the affidavit. He said he raised his gun and pointed it at the occupants, shouting “Stop,” but the vehicle appeared to be moving directly toward him.

“Fearing for his life, he then fired what he thought to be six to eight rounds into the front windshield of the vehicle,” the affidavit stated.

The vehicle backed up at high speed, crashed through a fence and ended up in a ditch. Jones told police a man jumped out of the SUV and ran away.

Sheriff’s deputies found McCormick inside the vehicle with a bullet wound to her head. She was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where she died.

Maybe when criminals start to realize that the law is on the victims side they may think twice about committing a crime. In my opinion the only better outcome to this would have been if Mr. Jones had hit both of them and saved the taxpayers a few dollars. Bravo to the Sheriffs Dept and to the District Attorney who made the right decision to prosecute the real criminal.

Obama Blows His Own Horn, But The Facts Prove He Is A Bit Out Of Tune!

FACT CHECK: Obama disowns deficit he helped shape - washingtonpost.com.

With 100 days in the bag President Obama has been doing a bit of horn blowing but the facts dont quite
support what he is saying. See for your self.

“That wasn’t me,” President Barack Obama said on his 100th day in office, disclaiming responsibility for the huge budget deficit waiting for him on Day One.

It actually was partly him _ and the other Democrats controlling Congress the previous two years _ who shaped the latest in a string of precipitously out-of-balance budgets.

And as a presidential candidate and president-elect, he backed the twilight Bush-era stimulus plan that made the deficit deeper, all before he took over and promoted spending plans that have made it much deeper still.

A look at some of his claims Wednesday:

OBAMA: “We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs.” _ from news conference.

THE FACTS: This assertion is flawed on several levels. For starters, the U.S. has lost more than 1.2 million jobs since Obama took office, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Even if Obama’s stimulus bill saved or created as many jobs as he says, that number is dwarfed by the number of recent job losses.

OBAMA: “Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit. … That wasn’t me. Number two, there is almost uniform consensus among economists that in the middle of the biggest crisis, financial crisis, since the Great Depression, we had to take extraordinary steps. So you’ve got a lot of Republican economists who agree that we had to do a stimulus package and we had to do something about the banks. Those are one-time charges, and they’re big, and they’ll make our deficits go up over the next two years.” — in Missouri.

THE FACTS: Congress, under Democratic control in 2007 and 2008, controlled the purse strings that led to the deficit Obama inherited. A Republican president, George W. Bush, had a role, too: He signed the legislation.

Obama supported the emergency bailout package in Bush’s final months — a package Democratic leaders wanted to make bigger.
